Peeball - Do a wee bit for charity

Having established a partnership with The Prostate Cancer Charity, all aspects of the Peeball project - the ball and game design, the innovative commercial model, the game's rules, the Peeball logo, packaging, sales, POS and artwork, marketing, PR and, importantly, the Peeball website and online game - were created by Sweetapple.

The production of the product was underwritten by an organisation sourced by Sweetapple, cost of production was recovered through sales of Peeballs. Therefore the charity did not have to invest any money in the production and promotion of the product.

Sweetapple also secured retail channels for the charity. Retail outlets included the Mitchells & Butlers and Scottish & Newcastle pub chains, Virgin, River Island, Maplin and Ryman. Within 5 months, over 500 000 Peeballs were sold, raising over £150,000 for The Prostate Cancer Charity
