The 'Remember Me' campaign
Sweetapple created the ‘Remember Me’ campaign and sign for the charity, RoadPeace, as a permanent memorial to lives lost or blighted through road crashes.
RoadPeace is a grossly underfuned charity run by remarkable people, many of whom have lost loved ones on Britain’s roads. It is the only charity in the UK that supports the victims of road crashes (over 3,500 people die in crashes and over 500,000 are injured on the UK's roads every year).
“I hope that seeing these memorials will give people a brief glimpse into the human suffering and sense of loss which the relatives and friends of road crash victims have to endure every day. We have monuments to tragedies, like the Paddington Rail Crash, but not the thousands of people who have been dying for decades in an everyday slaughter on our streets”
