An Original PR Initiative

The Non Standard Awards was a Sweetapple PR idea designed to gain tricky-to-achieve engaging press coverage for an insurance company. The Non Standard Awards (non standard referring to any risk that’s less than straight forward in the insurance industry) is a bursary set up by Grove & Dean Insurance for drivers who dream of doing interesting things on wheels!

Winners were given funding and Grove & Dean received interesting, positive PR support in major motoring magazines, websites and blogs – something which Insurance companies often struggle to achieve!

The pictures above show just a few of our many exciting projects which included the world’s longest taxi ride, the world’s longest journey by mini, recreations of the ‘Italian Job’ mini escape in Turin, a trip across the States in a convertible costing $2,000 and a trip to the Libyan desert.
