Sweetapple was originally a traditional marketing agency, with an office, desks and employees. It was very successful but, as time went by, we found that our employees weren’t always the right people to do all the increasingly varied and specialist jobs our clients required.
It’s the story of many agencies of course. As the traditional disciplines of design, advertising, PR and media have become blurred and the specialisms more specialist, every client demands a bespoke approach. One size does not fit all.
But, as well as helping to build and nurture our clients’ businesses, we also wanted to create ideas and products of our own.
This led us to creating award winning charitable initiatives such as Peeball and Remember Me and famous commercial projects, such as Rockford’s Rock Opera (the stories of which are all told in more detail on this website.)

Matthew and Elaine have considerable experience, not only of many marketing disciplines – from copywriting to production, from graphic design to social media, from media planning to building apps, we also understand how to create and deliver strategy incorporating all these elements and more.
Beyond our own services, we have a trusted network of specialists and we can guide clients through the process of deciding what services they need, what they need to spend, and how to measure the outcomes.
We offer fantastic results and great value too. Without expensive offices and many members of staff, our overheads and therefore our fees can be more competitive and, as far as our network is concerned, there are no mark ups.
In many cases, notably in terms of ideas, PR, strategy, social media and copywriting, we’ll be carrying out the work ourselves but we’re always completely up front about how we can help and when we need to use our network.
Many of our clients have been with us for years. They range from iconic British businesses like Barry M, to premier world brands such as Filippo Berio Olive Oil, to charities, start ups, local businesses, musicians and entrepreneurs.
We love the variety of what we do and because of our set-up, we can work with all manner of organisations with all levels of budget.
